Daft Punk Signs With Columbia, Reports Of New Album For Spring
The electric duo known as Daft Punk have not only made a name for themselves in music, but they made themselves into icons. You don’t even have to know a single song name, but you would know them if you see them whether it be in videos or cameo in movies.
They signed a deal with Virgin Records in 1996, and after all their success, and are finally leaving while having already inked a deal with Columbia Records. The French duo have not released a proper studio album since 2005, even though they did the entire Tron: Legacy Soundtrack in 2010, and NME is reporting that they are preparing to release a new album with their new label as early as this Spring. Let’s all hope that at least that much is true.
