[The Tens] Top 10 MMA Fighters Of 2012
6) Carlos Condit
Carlos Condit stole the welterweight interim title at UFC 143 by landing the most leg kicks in UFC history against Nick Diaz. It was a high-end, competitive scrap for the entire 25-minutes. Sure, it wasn’t the all-out war expected from those two, but it was still damn good. The performance spoiled a Georges St-Pierre-Diaz super-fight (at least temporarily) and entered the former WEC champion into St-Pierre’s comeback fight at UFC 154. “The Natural Born Killer” was promptly bloodied and dominated, but a head kick in the third frame nearly captured the New Mexican the undisputed title, making for two dramatic title bouts for Condit in 2012.
