8) Anderson Silva
“The Spider” was responsible for the biggest gate in Nevada history this year for UFC 148. He silenced Chael Sonnen once-and-for-all, inviting his rival over for a BBQ now that he squashed their beef for them. Then in order to save the UFC from another injury nightmare, he jumped in a main event in Brazil against Stephan Bonnar, a fighter with no business being in the same cage as him. Bonnar didn’t last two rounds like Sonnen. Silva got his entertaining in quick and went home with his second highlight reel TKO of the year. Just another 12 months for the greatest in the world.
