9) Daniel Cormier
You have to have a hell of a year to only fight once and be one of the ten best fighters of the year. 25-minutes is all Daniel Cormier needed to make the list. The former Olympic wrestler spent five rounds beating former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett from pillar to post in Strikeforce’s Heavyweight Grand Prix finals. Slam of the year honors go to Cormier easy. No one should be able to treat Barnett like a lightweight. Cormier did. Not bad coming into the tournament with alternate status and bloodying a veteran favorite.
