Young Jeezy – “We Done It Again”

Young Jeezy – We Done It Again Lyrics

DJ Hourglass: It’s great to see Jeezy using his voice for something he believes in every now and then to balance out the “Superfreak”’s. But didn’t this drop after Obama was re-elected? It could’ve been more help let’s say a few weeks/months ago, but maybe it was a spur of the moment thing. This may not have the celebratory feel of “My President Is Black,” but “We Done It Again” has a more impactful message, which makes this worth another listen.

Bridge: Yeah… When we look for a revolutionary voice for the hood, we go to Jeezy. :/
I’m just not buying it from the Snowman and anyone okay with glorifying the flood of drugs in our neighborhoods, to go and do a track about what President Obama stands for, I call ‘bulls–t’ on. And I’m okay with rhyming about whatever you know and want. You want to talk about guns, drugs, ‘hoes’ whatever. I’m not mad. But for me, I’d rather hear deadpres or Common or someone of that caliber to rally the hood in hip hop in support of Obama. Rant over.
