Marked Out: John Cena Files for Divorce, The Return of the Original Pipe Bomb and Meet Ryback
John Cena Files for Divorce:
John Cena wished Liz Huberdeau the best of luck in her future endeavors Thursday.
The face of the WWE filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart following a three-year marriage, according to reports.
It’s easy to get caught up by these larger-than-life figures and forget that they have a personal life outside the ring. Reading the details on TMZ.com about reportedly how unhappy Cena was in his marriage might explain why his character has been so stale in recent years.
The writing might have been on the wall as Wrestlezone points out The Rock hinted at Cena’s marriage woes during his “Rock Concert” on March 12:
“Rock saw Cena makin’ out with Eve, Grabbin’ on her thigh, tuggin’ on her weave. Cena was havin’ the time of his life, I guess he didn’t tell her that he’s got a wife. Let’s rock. Everybody let’s rock. Divorce lawyer’s right up the block, but we’re dancing because Cleveland Rocks.”
Ironically enough, it was two months ago when Raw originated from Boston that Cena looked like the Cena of old as he planted a kiss on his wife in the front row. He actually looked like a human being with emotions instead of the corny Cena who has a cheesy line and trademark smile for any hostility that’s tossed his direction.
Traditionally, nothing is off limits in the WWE when it comes to storylines. But I’m really hoping creative leaves Cena’s divorce off television — and this is coming from someone in the “Cena Sucks” camp.
The Return of the Original Pipe Bomb:
Long before CM Punk was setting off pipe bombs in the WWE ring, former ECW owner Paul Heyman set the standard for “shoot promos.” For the first time in six years, Heyman returned to the WWE on Raw on behalf of Brock Lesnar and proved that his mic skills haven’t diminished one bit.
Heyman’s return to the WWE was inevitable with Lesnar under contract. The one flaw during Lesnar’s first stint in the WWE was his mic skills, which is why Heyman was his manager in 2002.
You realize what the return of Heyman possibly means, right?
That we are months away from one last verbal showdown between Heyman and Vince McMahon.
Heyman delivered his most infamous WWE “shoot promo” on McMahon on the go-home Smackdown prior to the 2001 Survivor Series. The years of frustration and getting ripped off by McMahon and the WWE finally reached a boiling point for Heyman, who unleashed a 10-minute diatribe on the most powerful man in the business.
Rumors are already swirling that Triple H is gearing up for a SummerSlam match with Lesnar — and what better man to be in the corner of the WWE’s COO than the owner himself.
Meet The Future of the WWE:
Since WrestleMania, the WWE has seen an influx of new talent on television. Over the next few weeks, Marked Out will spotlight a new addition to the WWE and provide some background as to why they matter and what you can expect from them in the future.
Ryback:
Real Name: Ryan Reeves
You Know Him Best As: Skip Sheffield
Wrestling History: After stints in Deep South and Ohio Valley Wrestling, Reeves was signed by the WWE in 2008 and sent to Florida Championship Wrestling. The Ryback persona is nothing new as Reeves made his FCW debut as the Terminator inspired character before it was eventually scrapped for Skip Sheffield. He’s best known for his time on NXT and brief stint in Nexus in the summer of 2010. Reeves suffered a broken ankle at a house show event on Aug. 18, 2010 — sidelining him for over a year.
Wrestling Future: Ryback has demolished mostly local jobbers to date in an effort to make him look that much more impressive. His domination in these squash matches resulted in the Chicago fans at Extreme Rules to break out the “Goldberg” chants in honor of former WCW and WWE superstar Bill Goldberg, who started his career on a similar winning streak. There’s always room on the WWE roster for a superstar like Ryback who’s physically dominates than the competition, but don’t expect a WWE title run anytime soon — if ever. He’s still pretty green in the ring and there’s only so far a human cyborg can climb up the ladder.

I absolutely love Ryback! Im a fan till the day I die! <<<3333
