[Interview] Camilla Poindexter: The Baddest Bad Girl Around Pt. 2
After discussing the origins of her war with the girls at the Bad Girls Club house in part one, Camilla Poindexter goes more in depth with The Well Versed on her final days in the house, the reunion show and who brought a doctor’s note to avoid an ass whooping.
The fight with Amy set off a powder keg in the house as the girls were determined to get rid of Ms. Poindexter. With Elease at the center of what Camilla says was outright envy for being the new cute girl in the house, the girls began to scheme on the Long Beach beauty. Still, Camilla tried her best to keep everything cordial. She scheduled an outing with the girls to go ziplining but soon found out that the girls had no intentions of making nice.
“We’re on cliffs and they’re saying ‘What would happen if we pushed somebody off the cliff?’” she reveals about the outing. “I’m bottling everything in and in my head saying ‘What am I going to do?’” What Camilla did was get to the root of the problem and found out that Elease — who happened to be sharing a room with her at the time — was the one creating the tension. So Camilla decided to move the traitor out of her room. But she states that instead of touching her belongings (which is a big no-no in Camilla’s eyes), she opted to remove Elease’s bed. That sent the situation overboard.
“Instead of coming to me, she went to her crew and they asked me to move the bed back,” she explains. Figuring that there is no reason for a person that doesn’t like her to share a room with her, Camilla made a decision and stood by it. But the argument turned heated and Camilla found herself at odds with Elease. ”I came upstairs and the bed was in between us and something just told me to sock their asses.”
As the fracas ensued, another Bad Girl decided to jump in as Mimi went after Camilla. The squabble ended with Camilla ripping Mimi’s weave out of her head and driving an even bigger wedge between her and her housemates. But now the other roommates were absolutely determined to get rid of Camilla and with only four hours before the girls would leave the house, the ultimate battle lines were drawn. The girls would send Mimi into Camilla’s room while she was asleep to recover some of the items from the house. The noise woke Camilla and an argument ensued.
“I was hearing things. I see f*ckin Mimi in a hoodie and I’m like ‘What are you doing?’” she reflects. As Mimi was grabbing the house belongings and taking them out of the room, Camilla says that she left the room to put on a scarf and shoes, knowing that there would likely be another fight. “I can’t argue long so something was telling me ‘Camilla, there’s just four hours until you go home so sock her and leave with a bang!”
