[Interview] Camilla Poindexter: The Baddest Bad Girl Around Pt. 1
She wasn’t there long, but the impression she left has shot her into reality show stardom. Camilla Poindexter showed up to join the Bad Girls Club: Las Vegas cast to ride out the final couple of weeks before the season ended. Who knew that what took place over the course of those final episodes would be the highlight of the entire season.
If you’ve been living in a cave, here’s the rundown:
She whoops some ass.
Well, it’s a little more than that, but in a nutshell, Camilla joined the cast after the Victor Twins. The girls didn’t take to kindly to her and tried to bully her out of the house. What they didn’t know is that they were playing with fire and damn near the entire crew of girls got burned in a series of fights that left one after the other bruised and confused as to what whirlwind came in and tore them up.
The Well Versed caught up with Ms. Poindexter in Las Vegas days before the highly anticipated reunion aired and gave some insight on what took place behind the scenes in this exclusive two part interview.
Prior to rocking the BGC world, the Long Beach beauty with a mean jab was busy with side projects as an aspiring actress and model and saw BGC as something to add to her resume. “Bad Girls Club was basically something that I just wanted to try out for and experience,” Ms. Poindexter explains to The Well Versed. “I have no kids, I’m young still and the opportunity came and I said ‘Let me go jump on it.’”
She initially tried out for Season 7 in New Orleans but didn’t make the cut. However, the producers saw her as an replacement for Season 8. Last September, when BGC was perhaps the last thing on her mind, the producers rang her phone to let her know that her services were needed as the season was winding down and the twins had been sent home. However, Camilla was wrapped up in her own life and wasn’t sure if getting caught up in the reality show was the right thing to do. “They gave me a call and said they wanted me to come to Bad Girls Club. Now, I’m in a relationship and I’m doing my own thing; things were progressing for me with work. I had to ask around to see what my family and guy thought of me being on the show.”
After receiving the affirmation, she was off to join the cast in Vegas for the final two weeks. And those two weeks turned the season upside down. But if you ask her, she had absolutely no intention of having to lay her hands on a few of the girls.
“My mentality was to come in, have fun and make an impression,” she says of her thought process walking into the house. Although she had an idea of the cattiness that went on inside the house, she figured that she could make some friends and have fun. The other girls wanted no parts of that. “I tried to express my interest in wanting to be their friend, but they didn’t want that. So I had to turn to another motive and just be myself and not give a f*ck.”

Very, very , VERY disappointed in seeing this getting any sort of publicity. Let’s try to promote forward thinking, social consciousness and sanity. This does none of those. Of course, TWV team knows what’s up; this is just some sort of sick joke. I get it guys, super funny.
It’s good to see someone thinking it trhguoh.
