[The Tens] Milk Carton Rappers - 10 Hip Hop Artists With Hype That Have Disappeared

E. Ness (Da Band)

As easily the dopest emcee in the group, Da Band (with the exception of Dylan, obviously), E.Ness appeared to be an emcee the rise. After Da Band dissolved, Ness remained the only group member still signed to Bad Boy and worked as a song writer for Diddy. Unfortunately, aside from a few quiet mixtape releases and music video cameos, we haven’t heard anything from Ness at all. No singles, no album, just Ness doing his taxes on Chappelle’s Show.

Papoose is not nearly as nice as he was hyped up to be and after hearing Kay Slay attempt to rhyme I am no longer surprised by his endorsement of Poose.

I remember Millz had that one joint with the reggae sound to it. (I’m about to look for that on YouTube. It was dope.) That was his last good song. Millz was a decent battle MC, but he struggles to make good songs. Didn’t he coming out with Silver Surfer or some shit a while ago. I might Youtube that for a good laugh.

Damn was a monster hit back when Lil Jon could do no wrong. If they never have another hit, they always have Damn.

I guess Lloyd has managed to survive, but is any other Murder Inc artist still relevant. Female MCs need to be special to survive nowadays; Charli was not that.

OJ, never really did anything. I’m wouldn’t even include him on the list. He’s at best a sidekick.

MIMS was on the initial list, but no one has dropped the smoke bomb and ninja-disappeared like Craig Mack, so MIMS was bumped.

I just discovered your new hit silgne, and I can’t stop listening to it! You have such a beautiful, versatile voice, and I can’t wait for your first album.Out of curiosity, I listened to your radio interviews on iTunes. It’s impressive how well you hold yourself together around interviewers. Your poise and eloquence are an inspiration. The world needs more musicians like you.
