[Video] “Uprising: Hip Hop & The LA Riots” Trailer

Last week at SXSW, VH1’s Rock Docs premiered the documentary that attempts to dissect the infamous LA Riots through a hip hop lens. Snoop Dogg is the executive producer and narrator of the documentary that remembers a 20 year old racially charged event that still divides people today. In a time where smart phones were non-existent, the amateur videographer who captured the beating of Rodney King proved to the world what hip hop had been saying for decades. If you weren’t able to catch it last week at SXSW it will premier on VH1 on May 1.
