[The Tens] The 10 Best Hip Hop Moments From SXSW 2012

Whew. It’s safe to say that this year’s edition of SXSW in Austin, TX was the most insane of them all. The performances, people and surprises kept coming at a freakish rate and there was absolutely no way one person could see and hear everything at once. But that’s what the internet is for! While the bad guys of The Well Versed were busy getting trampled by groupies dying to catch a glimpse of Kanye West and MC Hammer backstage, running the streets of Austin snatching rappers off the streets for interviews with our family at 2DopeBoyz or getting caught off guard by Carl Thomas singing to a chick at the bar, there were plenty of amazing moments that we simply couldn’t catch. Now that the dust has settled, we’ve decided to serve up a special edition of “The Tens” (as if they aren’t all special) that spotlights the biggest moments of the music portion of the festival for your consumption.

Over the past couple of years, every single concert footage that has been filmed in America has been horrible. Not because of the performance, but because of the audience. Put your god damn phones in your pockets, and enjoy the music. You have the advantage of having some of the world’s greatest musicians performing in front of you, and here you fools are watching it through your phones!

yeah, completely agree nick, that footage of AZ/Nas was absolutely shameful, no enthusiasm, no charisma, phones/cameras everywhere. I would kill to be there watching 2 legends perform

Scarface joining Willie D at Thrasher party? Bun B & Big KRIT at Def Jam showcase? This list is a little soft.
