4. Mos Def To Yasiin Bey
We’ve gotta admit, this name change was a bit of a head scratcher. Not only is ‘Mos Def’ a dope ass name, the artist known as Mos Def was also a successful musician and a decent actor. In September 2011, Mos announced that he’d be retiring the “Mos Def” name at the end of 2011 in favor of Yasiin, which means “rich” in Arabic. Of the change, the MC said it was time to “expand and move on” and to find a name that he felt reflected who he truly is, (i.e. PAID).
Grade: Fail (Ain’t nobody ever calling him Yasiin Bey)

ive been giving it some thought and i think Yessin Bey is cool lol… n sk8brd for Pharrell thats just lame but i guess its jus like when ppl call him… Skateboard P.. i think that would sound a lot better then “Sk8brd” lol
