[FRESHNESS] Kicks Hawaii x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

Marking the third collaboration with top premier sneaker boutique Kicks Hawaii, Converse announces the release of a limited edition Chuck Taylor.  Kicks/HI selected a special tiger camouflage pattern paying homage to the tiger shark which has been a reoccurring motif since the shop opened back in 2001 marking this year as their 10th anniversary. The entire upper, tongue, and toecap appearing in olive, tan and brown tiger camouflage pattern is pin-point laser-printed, as the traditional Chuck Taylor silhouette stays in tact displaying those classic All Star rubber sidewalls.

“We wanted to pay homage to the iconic nature of the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe, and left the silhouette intact, but we also wanted to give a nod to Kicks Hawaii’s history. We loved the look of this tiger camo and felt it was a nice nod to the Kicks Hawaii tiger shark mascot.”   – Eddy Haus, co-Founder of Kicks Hawaii.

Look for these to drop Saturday, October 22, 2011 at KICKS/HI in Honolulu/Guam as well as  St. Alfred in Chicago. Retailing at $70 USD.
