[FRESHNESS] Junya Watanabe – Fair Isle Wool and Leather Varsity Jacket
Junya Watanabe has been reworking classics, with a twist since 2001 as a protege of COMME des GARÇONS founder Rei Kawakubo honing his design skills and innovative approach on menswear. The Fair Isle Wool and Leather Varsity Jacket constructed as an revamped blast from the past modifies the classic varsity jacket with an updated look as Junya Watanabe is known for creating uncommon structured clothes out of modern materials. Composed utilizing the Fair Isle pattern on the shell along with classic cream leather sleeves and leather slit pocket trim brings the American classic a modern realm for the 2011 Holiday season. Priced at about $1,650 USD, I’d doubt you’d have to worry about seeing people out with the same jacket on.

A Las Vegas native and graduate of F.I.D.M.
