50 Cent announced that he will “not put out another album” via his Twitter account. Honestly, most probably weren’t aware that a 50 Cent album was even being worked on. Ever since Before I Self Destruct was met with lukewarm results, the general public hasn’t been too interested in his music. Nevertheless, his fifth studio album was in the works and has now been cancelled by 50 Cent himself due to Interscope “dropping the ball” (whatever that means). So now we’re left to wonder why Before I Self Destruct 2 won’t be release. We have 10 reasons why.
1) Nobody Cares

Really. It’s that simple. How you gonna put out a product that nobody cares about? As a matter of fact, when was the last time you said to yourself “I cannot wait for 50 Cent’s new album?” Exactly.
2) The Curls Have Destroyed His Image
Even the white girl in the picture isn't impressed.
How you gonna be a tough guy rapper with an s-curl in 2011???
3) Once Rick Ross Made It Past 50 Cent’s Dissfest, The Mojo Is Gone
It’s kinda like Hulk Hogan hulking up and it having no effect on his opponent. Rick Ross shrugged off everything 50 Cent had to offer and somehow became an even bigger star. Remember when 50 tried to bait Lil Wayne? That didn’t work either. We can never look at 50 Cent the same again. The mojo is gone.
4) He Needs To Get Shot
"I need YOU to shoot at me!"
Nobody even wants to shoot at 50 Cent these days. That used to be the calling card. The only place he can get shot today is in the movies.
5) That XXL Cover With Soulja Boy
Thugs Need Hugs
Seriously? That was virtually a career killer. Soulja Boy’s The DeAndre Way went on to go double shopping bag plastic. 50 Cent does not want to take that risk and see his album sell less than Soulja Boy (Is that possible?).
6) He Needs A Reality Show
No…this reality show sucked. We need it to be about 50 Cent.
Whenever your career is lukewarm, a reality show where 50 Cent goes all Terrell Owens on us with tears and raw emotion is the prescription to save it. Although we’re not sure what’s so interesting about 50 Cent these days.
7) Hip Hop Is Too Metrosexual

Now that everyone is all emotional on record, it’s hard for 50 Cent to channel that into emo-rap. Maybe he should start singing and wear skinny jeans? Nah…probably not.
8) He’s Turning Into Snoop Dogg And Doesn’t Like It
Snoop Dogg couldn't be this guy forever.
Remember when Snoop Dogg was a gangster rapper? If you’re under 21, probably not. 50 Cent is in the middle of the same transition from rapping thug to non-threatening hip-hop fellow and he’s having a damn hard time trying to figure out how to embrace it. “Uncle 50 Cent” would have to make his music a little more fun and lighthearted. Something we don’t think he’s been able to do.
9) He Signed Pauly D To G-Unit
Can you imagine 50 Cent's lead single featuring DJ Pauly D? Us neither…

10) Everything Else He’s Done Has Failed, His Album Is Certainly Next
Jay-Z said he could sell water to a well. You couldn't sell me that vitamin water if I was dying of thirst.
His movies suck. His video games stink. Vitamin Water isn’t too tasty. His clothing was a hot mess. His reality show (yeah, remember that?) was an Apprentice ripoff. Instead of the Midas Touch he used to have, he’s now got the Mr. Hanky touch. At least salvage the music from being torn to shreds. It’s gonna suck.

When someone writes an article that bashes somebody this much, I can’t help but wonder; Would you say it to his face? What would you really say if you ran into him in public and he looked at you and said “I read your article”? Ask yourself that because only you know the true answer.
I don’t even like 50 but this article is completely ignorant. he steal your woman or something? How has everything else he’s done failed? He made NINE figures off of that vitamin water that “he can’t sell you if you’re dying of thirst.” People will definitely care when he puts out a new album, it won’t ever sell like his albums used to, but it will still turn a profit. He has also shown us definitively in the past that he’s ok having a good time, and showing emotion, instead of just talking about hustlin. His biggest hits aren’t written about drugs and guns, they’re about partying, clubbin, and women. 21 questions shows that he’s ok with putting his guard down on a track too.Though the Pauly D and Soulja Boy parts were pretty funny, can’t be doin’ that. Can’t claim to be real and then take a pic with Soulja Boy…
50 definitely has some kind of relevancy in the industry, just not any musical. He had a good run, he should focus on his entrepreneur ventures from now on.
Of course he can get his album released, but it will be hard to sell in big numbers.
