What do you do when you’re tired of The History Channel and The Discovery Channel omitting your history? If your name is Tariq Nasheed, you gather the best scholars you know and make your own documentary. The best selling author and host of “The Mack Lessons Radio Show” podcast is currently hard at work on “Hidden Colors: The Untold History Of People Of Aboriginal, Moor, And African Descent.”

Nasheed is also making the documentary a community affair and is enlisting the help of black men throughout the country via Kickstarter‘s Web page.

“We are generally taught that historically,most people of color around the world were primitive and uncivilized,and they only became modernized after they were saved and colonized by European explorers,” Nasheed says of the film. “The information in the film will uncover the real truth and and contributions of these people.”
