Lupe Fiasco & Rhymefest Feeding Families In Chicago For Thanksgiving
Not nearly enough is said when artists do some good within their community. But here’s a case of two talented rappers making sure that people from their city do not go hungry this Thanksgiving weekend.
After working together on a campaign fundraiser earlier this month, Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest are back at it as they look to feed families in the 20th ward of Chicago. Rhymefest, who is also running for Alderman, announced the “Vote To Eat” campaign where registered voters will receive turkeys and cheesecakes for the holiday.
Families are urged to arrive early at the following locations today, November 24. ID and proof of registered voter-ship is required. Those not registered can do so on site.
Here are the locations
12:00 pm – 12:45 pm – Chop It Up Barbershop – 6510 S. Halsted
2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – St. Michael Archangel Church – 4821 S. Damen
3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – Parkway Gardens Apartments – 6415 S. Calumet
4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – 63rd & King Drive
Definitely have to respect rappers down for the cause with action rather than just talking.
