[The Tens] The 10 Biggest #1 Draft Pick Busts In NBA History

With the news that Greg Oden will miss the entire 2010-11 NBA season with yet another injury, we at TheWellVersed.com think that it is about time to open discussions with Oden as one of the biggest #1 Draft Pick busts in NBA history. When talking about NBA draft fails, the name Sam Bowie always comes up because he was selected before the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan. But Bowie doesn’t fit into this discussion because he was the #2 pick selected in the 1984 NBA Draft. The #1 pick was a fellow named Hakeem Olajuwon. Who else does Oden have to compete with when it comes to #1 Draft Pick Busts and where does Oden land? TWV has the answers.

Great List. Don’t know if I’d throw Kenyon Martin only by virtue of him being a solid role player for a decade. But then again, No. 1 picks are supposed to be franchise cornerstones so i guess it makes sense.

Hard to beat that Top 5 – i remember in 98 saying the Clips should’ve drafted Bibby and they would’ve been set at point for years.

Talk about kicking yourself in the ass !! Peeps need to get fired for this type of shit !! Look at all the talent that got away from these teams fuckint with these scrubs. WOW !! I would’ve thought Len Bias could’ve made the list but, he didn’t get a chance to play for Boston.

    ^^^^Bias was the sixth pick.

Putting K-Mart on this list isn’t fair.
